What kept us busy (and happily so) in April

Sunday, May 8, 2011

We recently crossed the 6 month mark of living on Oahu and have really grown to appreciate the island more this last month. It helps that we had our first big visitors and started meeting more people our age!

 Meet the ladies:
John's mom Kay, 2 ladies she used to teach with and John's aunt made up the group affectionately known as 'the ladies'.  Poor John was so outnumbered, but he took it well!

Don't you worry, John greeted them at the airport with lei's and a BIG ALLOOOOOHHHAAAA
First drink with Kay and the ladies the night they arrived

We had a blast taking them around the island and sharing some of our favorite spots. During their trip we went to a Luau, took a catamaran cruise out in front of Waikiki, went on a hike to Manoa Falls and spent some good time on the beach.

Saturday morning there was an architecture tour in Chinatown, we did a little shopping at the markets afterward.
